Responsible for a (3) program portfolio managed on behalf of Headquarters, United States Marine Corps. I have the distinct privilege of collaborating with professionals on a global scale to deliver personal and professional development tools to service members.

As the Squadron Logistics Officer I was responsible for developing, coordinating, and delivering all functions of tactical level logistics in support of the Squadron's objectives. The largest project during this time was a full scale Squadron deployment and redeployment in support of a large scale service level exercise. This was a multi-million dollar project that required extensive coordination with external agencies and partners.

Due to luck and as a result of unique circumstances, my first assignment as an Officer was Operations Officer, Marine Wing Support Squadron (MWSS) 373. In this capacity, I oversaw the day to day operations of a unit responsible for delivering aviation ground support to all 3D Marine Aircraft Wing units aboard Marine Corps Air Station Miramar. The MWSS is the most capable engineering and logistics unit type in the Marine Corps, and it is comprised of a diverse equipment set and Marines that represent 76 Military Occupational Specialties (job designations).In addition to the day-to-day support requirements, my team and I developed and implemented concepts of support for numerous exercises and mission sets.

After my Commissioning I entered the Marine Corps Officer training pipeline. The Basic School's Basic Officer's Course is a six month school focused on bringing to life the Marine Corps mantra, "Every Marine is a Rifleman." At the end of the training, graduates are equipped with the knowledge and capabilities to serve as an infantry Platoon Commander. Areas of emphasis are: leadership, combat orders development and writing, tactics, and fieldcraft. Upon graduation, I reported to Camp Lejeune, North Carolina where I received five months of formal training by way of the Logistics Officer's Course.

The Marine Enlisted Commissioning Program is a highly competitive opportunity for enlisted Marines to become an Officer of Marines. After my selection, I attended and graduated from Officer Candidate's School, Quantico, Virginia and transferred to the University of South Carolina to complete my undergraduate course requirements. I graduated (Cum Laude) and subsequently Commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in December of 2014. While awaiting orders, I served as the Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps, University of South Carolina, Recruiting Officer.

My time in Pensacola provided me with dynamic leadership opportunities and a plethora of experience via collateral responsibilities. In the first 18 months I simultaneously served as a formal school instructor and held numerous leadership positions. I was fortunate enough to serve as the Operations Chief during the last portion of my tour of duty and oversaw the scheduling, assignment, and throughput for the three occupational fields supported by the Installation.

During this time I completed two combat tours in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. The latter culminating with operational control and tactical level employment of a 9 Marine (specialized) team responsible for providing both real time situational awareness and higher echelon analysis and development.
