I lead the day-to-day maintenance operations in a technically diverse operations atmosphere centered in manufacturing engineered wood products for global consumption. I have the distinct privilege of leading 25 professional millwrights, mechanics, machinists, saw filers, welders, and lubrication technicians. Together, we ensure plant operation, equipment reliability, fire suppression readiness, proactive/reactive/predictive equipment maintenance, strategic lubrication, timed interval inspections, and saw/knife maintenance. Areas of influence and expertise are: engineering, rigging, welding, vibration analysis, ultrasonic analysis, stress/strain analysis, root cause analysis, upgrade training development/tracking, hydraulic and pneumatic circuit maintenance, procurements, associate/contractor safety, and extensive fabrication ability.

Started College to finish engineering degrees.

Managed 40 individuals encompassing three work centers (Metals Technology, Non-destructive Inspection, Structural Maintenance) on RQ-4B Global Hawk aircraft. Led machining, welding, nondestructive inspection, composite repair, painting, structural repair, component inspections, and engineering dispositions operations. Oversaw training, education, OSHA, HAZMAT/WASTE/COMMUNICATION compliance. Government purchase card approving official; managed $500K+ annual purchases with a $1.2M operating budget. Managed welding certification program, advanced composite repair certification program, ultrasonic inspection certification program.

Administering commander's orders for non-judicial punishment, various circumstantial needs, and oversaw annual performance reports for 287 assigned members.

Performed Production Superintendent duties during RQ-4B airworthiness testing. Coordinated maintenance taskings, led 40 personnel across five workcenters, briefed supervision on daily maintenance operations, work completion estimates, downtime estimates, mission effectiveness, and maintenance prioritization.

Conducts the day-to-day operations of the Metals Technology work center. Managed 15 individuals who design, machine, and weld components for aerospace ground equipment and 12 KC-135R/T aircraft valued at $575M. Directs the certified welder training and certification requirements for utilizing oxyacetylene, arc, tungsten inert gas and metal inert gas welding processes. Ensured proper servicing, inspection, and maintenance of metal working machinery. Reviewed drafting and mechanical drawings along with the manufacturing of special tools, gauges and fixtures. Insured compliance with OSHA, HAZMAT/WASTE/COMMUNICATION, technical orders, and engineering disposition.

Directly supported Operation Enduring Freedom/Operation Iraqi Freedom. Led 60 extensive aircraft repairs encompassing eight different allied and coalition aircraft. Aided in launching 5.8K sorties over 36K flight hours. Singlehandedly identified a batch component fault in the USAF's B-1 Lancer bomber fleet. Upon failure of nose landing gear extension, inspection led to faulty shear pins that did not meet hardness requirements. Identified fault, submitted findings to aerospace engineers, led to grounding of entire fleet and discovery of numerous other faulty shear pins that could fail catastrophically.

Led a three shift work center on over 400 aircraft repairs encompassing eight different airframes. Supported 6.3K sorties for Operation Iraqi Freedom/Operation Enduring Freedom/Combined Joint Task Force Horn of Africa. Efforts maintained an overall 92% maintenance effective rate. Also led a four-person Maintenance Repair Team to Kirkurk, Iraq to repair a disabled C-130J. Under hostile fire and mortar fire, aircraft was repaired and returned to home station in less than 72 hours.

Welds, designs, and machines parts for United States Air Force assigned aircraft, ground support equipment, and all transient aircraft. Performs welding operations utilizing oxyacetylene, shielded metal arc, tungsten inert gas, and metal inert gas. Designs, manufactures, and modifies special tools and fixtures to facilitate metal working operations. Performs inspections, operator maintenance, and servicing of hand tools and metal working equipment.

Readied the 28th Maintenance Squadron for a Headquarters Pacific Air Forces Unit Compliance Inspection. Singlehandedly completed 200+ powered/non-powered ground equipment repairs contributing to a 96% in-commission rate. Created a new Environmental Compliance Program. All culminated in earning the highest rating possible of "Excellent".

Supported Operation Enduring Freedom as Fabrication Flight Chief. Led the combined efforts of three work centers to effectively perform combat phase inspections on 14 A-10 Thunderbolt II aircraft in four months. Coordinated with Army Aircraft and Missile Representatives to facilitate local certified welding and non-destructive inspection repair of Blackhawk, Apache, and Chinook helicopter engine components. Nullifying the two-month downtime for repair cycle routing to Kuwait/per component.
