I specialize in the legal side of road closures. Duke Attorneys and the Suburban Solution (Pty) Ltd have represented more than 200 road closures in the City of Johannesburg and Ekurhuleni. Duke Attorneys have acted as legal counsel for over 30 road closures in Pretoria and have further submitted road closure applications in Nelspruit and White River. Duke Attorneys has represented 13 Resident Associations in 12 High Court applications on road closures in Gauteng, all of which have been successful. In 2010 it lodged a complaint with the Public Protectors office on behalf of 100 road closures against the City of Johannesburg’s handling of road closure applications which culminated in improvements to the City’s policy to address those complaints.The Suburban Solution (Pty) Ltd regularly engages with various arms of government on behalf of the road closure community.
