Joined this utility as SEC & GAAP expert to help them restructure anout $3 billion in debt and avoid bankruptcy. I was better qualified than CFO or Controller and thus was a threat to both, so my position was cut after the refinancing was fully in place and everything settled down.

This was one of this firm's largest offices with one of the original founding partners (P. K. Seidman) in residence. I was hired to be this office's primary auditing specialist. At BDO audit personnel are responsible for all tax services to audit clients. Also purchased the first PCs used by this firm and trained personnel to use them.

Large real estate development and management firm that relied heavily upon contractors and subcontractors instead of using its own employees. In addition to oversight of finance and accounting, I directly had charge of management of all shopping centers and two large multi-use developments. However, I was mainly hired to oversee the development of a 1,000 acre multi-use development that included the TPC golfcourse at Southwind in Memphis, TN.
