About Gary E. Chin

If you are an NGO searching for a fundraising, public relations, and/or marketing manager, let’s have a conversation to meet these challenges.I have leveraged my relationship management skills, experiences, and INSEAD/CEIBS/IBM Client Executive Programme training to build and nurture relations with foundations, organizations, corporate sustainability entities and individuals. My former position as Public Relations and Development Manager at The University of Hong Kong Libraries allowed me to develop and expand public relations and marketing plans to raise awareness of Library services and collections. In addition, I have organized conferences, seminars, curated exhibitions, and driven marketing campaigns.Development duties included maintaining existing income streams and developing new ones. I built relationships with organisations, trusts, foundations, and high net-worth individuals to support the Libraries and its extensive rare and current collections. I have prepared fundraising proposals and case statements to help address infrastructure and collections needs and acquisitions. In 2017, I created the first and only University Resident Therapy Dog programme in HK with my dog Jasper, a rescue from Hong Kong Dog Rescue. Together we supported the staff and students to make university life a bit less stressful. My key strengths include: • INSEAD/CEIBS - Client Executive Program (Business Strategy/Relationship Management)• HSBC Management Effectiveness Curriculum• IBM Business Integrity Education• IBM Management Training • Secure communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills• Skilled in cultivating positive relationships with clients and colleagues from diverse cultures and organisational backgrounds• Strong leadership skills: Lead by Example approach, ability to prioritise, delegate tasks, and make sound decisions quickly while maintaining focus on the overall goals• Exemplary problem-solving skills: able to identify problems and implement corrective processes.Additional Qualifications • Audit Management• Asset Management• Facilities Management• Incident Management• Staff Management• WIX website design
