I spend 12 years on active duty in the Marine Corps as a Military Police Officer and a Criminal Investigator. While serving as a Military Police Officer, I served as a Gate Sentry, Dispatcher, Animal Control Officer, Patrol Officer, Patrol Supervisor, Desk Sergeant, and Watch Commander to ensure security and safety aboard Marine Corps Bases Quantico and Hawaii. I was later selected to serve as a Criminal Investigator, investigating crimes from damage and larceny of government property to homicide. During this time, I deployed to Afghanistan to support Operation Enduring Freedom.After an Honorable Discharge in 2015, I began my civilian law enforcement career as a Texas Peace Officer with the City of Keller. I served as a Patrol Officer before being selected ahead of multiple senior Officers to serve as a Motor Officer assigned to the Traffic Division. After nearly six years with the Keller Police Department, I transferred departments and began working as a Patrol Officer for the City of Lewisville. In August 2022, an opportunity presented itself to fill in temporarily as a School Resource Officer at Huffines Middle School in Lewisville. After speaking with my wife and praying for the spot, I prayed. To date, the experience has been nothing like I expected. I am building relationships with the students and trust between them and the police department. After a full year at Huffines Middle School as the SRO, I was reassigned to the Traffic Division at the Lewisville Police Department.I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Organized Law Enforcement Leadership from American Military University in 2014 while still on active duty. While working full-time with the Keller Police Department, I received my Master of Science in Criminal Justice and Criminology from the Texas Christian University in 2018.I genuinely enjoy sharing my knowledge and experience to help others better their careers and lives. I take every opportunity to teach and mentor others to help them pursue and reach their personal and professional goals.On April 10, 2022, God called me to ministry. I began seminary school at Liberty University in the fall of 2022. After telling my unit chaplain that I started seminary school, he planted the seed of Army Chaplaincy, and God worked to grow that seed into a calling. I changed my major to a Master of Divinity in Professional Chaplaincy, focusing on Military Chaplaincy. I am humbled that God called me to serve; the experience has been exciting.
