I spent my early years working in Agriculture. The specific job skills have long since eroded, but the work ethic and drive to complete tasks still permeates everything I do.I spent a year teaching at the Community College level. I enjoyed the relationship and feelings of accomplishment but I also knew I was too independent to exist in that arena. I spent the next 25 years working in the Financial Services arena, including 20+ as a State Farm agent. I never lost focus on the desire to be self employed and self reliant. While I was working a day job, we invested in Real Estate, including self-storage. We bought our first self-storage property in 2001. 20+ years later, we still own that property. And 16 more. I retired from State Farm in 2019 at the age of 52. I wanted to focus on our Storage properties. After a year of that, we launched The Storage Manager. We specialize in Remote management of Self-Storage properties from Maine to Florida to Colorado. I seem to work much harder than I ever did before but it is a labor of love. I enjoy the challenges of managing the people that are managing the facilities. With as large a geographical area as we serve, our days are full of challenges! I am living the dream!
