While employed with the Lee County Visitor and Convention Bureau (VCB) I have been involved with the development of the County’s sports program from its inception. Contributed valuable insight into the development of programs utilizing established networking relationships with professional and amateur sports related businesses. Consistently secured and implemented local, state, national and international sporting events. I have been involved in events that have generated an estimated six hundred thousand documented room nights in amateur sports travel since 1995, and well over seven hundred million dollars in economic impact. Assisted in expanding and led Lee County’s sports marketing efforts to coordinate events with National Governing Bodies (NGB), promoters and event owners, on all levels. I have developed personal relationships with all key decision makers within all levels of numerous sports agencies both nationally and internationally. I have played a pivotal role in the development of Lee County’s Sports Authority (LCSA) by positioning and developing standard operational procedures and a fantastic working relationship with venue owners both public and private. Assumed a leadership position in the development of the current LCSA business plan. Has worked hard to create a synergy with all municipal parks and recreation agencies, professional sports franchises, the school district, Florida Gulf Coast University (FGCU) and the business community. During my career I have been involved with countless marketing initiatives to drive increased ticket sales, market share, and visibility for our professional sports franchises.
