• Management of the company Quality, Environmental, Safety and Health policies and procedures within CCFM, maintaining ISO 9001, 14001 & 45001 compliance, and accreditation.• Development of and ongoing improvement of QHSE processes & procedures to include but not limited to: Safe Systems of Work, Method Statements, Risk Assessments (inc COSHH, Manual Handling. Work @ Height etc.) and other related documentation. This will also include the integration of our client’s specific requirements relating to the Rail industry together with statutory obligations and duties. • Supervision of the QHSE Engineer, the depot QHSE Advisors and QHSE Administrator• Manage third party audits and ISO accreditation process and any other licencing/accreditation process. • Manage all QHSE Responsibilities for activities involving the operation of plant and equipment on the Client Managed Infrastructure. • Manage internal audit programs for Quality, Environmental, Safety and Health measurable against agreed targets and programmes. • Management of the Operator and Maintenance personnel training and competency programmes and records. Delivery of presentations, internal training, briefings and tool box talks.• Recording, statistical analysis and investigation of accidents & near misses.• Attend meetings and liaise with clients to discuss QHSE issues and development plans.• Assist in developing and managing performance KPI with a view to continuous improvement. • Collate data and produce project status and period end reports as required. • Creating and maintaining a culture in which all employees feel safety has a high value and that they are clear about responsibilities, safety aims and objectives within the Company. • Prepare, convene, and facilitate regular HSE Meetings with senior management teams and HSE personnel throughout the Group to share knowledge and best practice.

During my tenure with Smit Lamnalco I was seconded to a JV Partner to assist in the improvement and get well program of their SHE-Q Management System, Standards & Performance. This included reviewing their current SHE-Q system, developing gap analysis and drafting DWP for their operations in line with local & international requirements. Over and above this training needs analysis was developed and familiarisation plan to ensure all employees have a sound understanding of this system.Develop Emergency & Security Plans in line with government requirements audits and follow up on close out actions. At the same time I was involved in setting up site specific procedures including Ops Manual, Familiarisation Plan, Emergency Response and Site Security for the start-up of the new LNG Terminal.Develop a training matrix in line with all trainings that will be carried out during start-up.Work on SHE-Q budgets for the contract.Work together with the Group Start up Manager to ensure a smooth transition of documentation and hand over once the contracted started up. Mentor a SHE-Q officer who will eventually take over the role.Lead investigations and identify root causes and follow.

As the Area SHE-Q officer for the Africa region it required me travelling to various countries in Africa. My main tasks were to assist the Contract Managers with setting up a site based SHE-Q System and developing procedures, risk assessments, lead investigations and also conduct training sessions. Over and above this I carried out Internal audits in line with Group, ISO & OHSAS standards and local regulations. I was transferred from area SHE-Q officer to a full time site based position in Equatorial Guinea were my sole task was to improve the current SHE-Q Standards, this entailed setting up DWP's, Inspection / audits of the 5 vessels and training crew in SHE-Q related trainings and also in to the companies SHE-Q Management System.I also lead investigation as and when required and set up a behaviour based system to track unsafe acts and condition of personnel.

I worked on the Dhirubai, dredging, land fill, pipe laying & rock dumping project for DEME / Boskalis. My tasks were to carryout HSE inspection / audits, training / induction, incident investigations on the land side including the accommodation camps and also sea side. The contract had various types of vessel ranging from crew boats up to cutter dredgers. After being there for 10 months I was employed as SHE-Q Manager reporting directly to the Project Manager, my key tasks were to ensure that the team (5) of Safety Officer were carrying out their duties as required, develop Monthly SHE-Q Reports and ensuring that we keep within the set budgets for PPE and other safety equipment, attend daily progress meetings and carry out training with senior management on a monthly basis. Lead investigations and discuss root cause and close out.
