Granite Bay Flycasters is a non-profit organization,www.gbflycasters.org dealing in protecting Californis'a Natural resources, other conservation issues and the education and promotion of Fly-Fishing as a sport.As president of GBFC's I worked with private sector biologists to convince the California Department of Fish & Game to close Putah Creek to fishing for a six month period to allow CDF&G to survey the infestation of New Zealand Mud Snails, (an invasive species), in order to develop a plan to control/eliminate this threat to California's Aquatic Resources.While president and a subsequent member of the board of directors for seven years, I increased membership by 30% and assisted in the education of hundreds of members into the sport of fly-fishing, conservation, fly-tying, rod building, and net making,I also taught aquatic entomology and served as fish-master for over eight years, which included the organizing and management of fishing trips of large parties. Many of these outings also included the teaching of short line nymphing clinics.

I protecting the rights and privileges of commercial reptile breeders in California,I rewrote the California Code of Regulations laws under section 1.67, pertaining to the captive breeding of California Native Reptiles which was accepted without change by the regulatory agency, (CDF&G). This ensured the ability of breeders in California to pursue their livelihood of breeding and selling both native and non-native captive bred reptiles.As President of CHIAC, I was able prevent the California Department of Fish & Game from eliminating the Captive Breeding Program and thus allowed over 100 California business owners to continue their livelihood as commercial breeders.I additionally assisted breeders with the ultimate dismissal of criminal cases based on administrative violations and assisted as a consultant in lawsuits against the California Department of Fish and Game which resulted in settlements that benefited several plaintiffs.
