Organization Development is more than my career; it’s my calling. As a graduate research assistant, I had the good fortune to work for a professor who taught and practiced Organization Development. It was there I discovered and became hooked on applying behavioral science to improve organization effectiveness. After earning a Ph.D. in Organization Development, teaching graduate students at the University of Colorado, and spending a decade honing my skills and gaining vast professional experience, I opened my consulting practice, Performance Development Associates Colorado, LLC, (www.pda.us.com) in 1991.As an Organization Development practitioner of 40 years, I have the experience and ability to work with leaders at all levels and in all sectors. My objective is always the same: To help people in organizations create high performance work systems using participative approaches to strategic planning, organization and process redesign, and organization development.I’ve had the privilege of working with clients in industries including healthcare, financial services, public utilities, manufacturing, insurance services, consumer food products, pharmaceutical development and production, law enforcement, and higher education.Because leading change well is critical to successful organization change, I created The Change Kit, a web-based resource for executives, leaders, managers, and change practitioners (www.thechangekit.com). The Change Kit has been designed as a self-help toolkit that provides practical information, steps, tools, and effective strategies to facilitate change. It is based upon my many years of responding to the needs of my clients and finding solutions to the challenges of implementing effective change. In an ever-changing business environment, it is imperative that organizations develop the ability and agility to respond quickly, thoroughly, and decisively. I bring a depth of knowledge and experience to help client organizations do just that.
