Sourcing and negotiation of software, infrastructure and services to deliver operational improvement programmes under the London Market Target Operating Model to support market modernisation, improved operational and cost efficiency, leveraging offshore development and support models in compliance with operational and regulatory requirements.

• Role: Rollout of best procurement practices to International Bupa Global division in support of key regulatory requirements (e.g., Solvency II) and leading procurement activities for major IT Transformation Programme across multiple territories to harmonise and optimise core business platforms and applications• Key Responsibilities:Ð Develop and deliver procurement strategies to improve risk and commercial positions in connection with IT Transformation ProgrammeÐ Lead key tenders and commercial negotiations for various workstreams, including IT, telco, marketing, and medical care• Selected Achievements:Ð Delivered validated cost reduction savings of £1.3m. Ð Led RFP’s and contract negotiations in support of ITO transformation of business critical services (from resource augmentation to managed service), reducing regulatory and operational risks, improving service levels and credits, and achieving substantial cost reductions.

Project Verde - Provision of IT contract remediation services to achieve compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements related to the divestment of TSB Bank.Lead re-negotiation of core elements of LBG’s offshore AD/AM services agreements (key commercial issues, service levels and credits, transition/exit, employee/TUPE, benchmarking, etc.) with four tier 1 ITO suppliers for a multi-year term (spend ca. £1.5b).

• Leading project to capture and deliver technology cost reductions within investment bank within a major Group savings programme. Current validated cost reductions as of in 2013 over $12 million.

Support Emerging Technology Programmes at Barclays Retail Bank. • Lead sourcing efforts for Barclays bCloud programme in connection with new and emerging technologies.• Achieved £3.7 million in finance-approved savings, with an additional £20.6 million savings pending approval (based on 5-year committed spend and excluding VAT)

Negotiated with major GTB IT suppliers (software, hardware, professional services, alliance/partnering agreements, etc.) to obtain favourable pricing, substantial savings, improved standards of service delivery and other provisions to minimise risk. Updated (and novated, as applicable) historic agreements with key suppliers to align them with current best practises in order to minimise risk and otherwise improve contractual positions. Negotiation of ongoing AD/AM work orders with ITO providers; and improvement of service levels and commercial provisions of engagement.

Draft, negotiate, and manage delivery to, system integration agreements for major IT programmes with leading SI service providers including sourcing of services, software and hardware. These programmes involved complex delivery, both onshore and offshore and multiparty involvement (prime and subcontractor accountabilities).
