I am vastly experienced individual in governance and developing strategy, as well as highly proficient leadership qualities. My skills have been developed and strengthened through both my work capacity and voluntary roles held. Throughout my career I have developed a vast understanding of sports development in Scotland and have experience working within local authority, the voluntary sector as well as within a National Governing Body of Sport. The roles I have held are varied and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the proficiency to develop and maintain good relationships with colleagues and many partners. Building sustainable partnerships across many sectors has been essential and I can influence key stakeholders and senior decision makers. Managing a multidisciplinary team of staff, coaches and volunteers to achieve agreed outcomes is second nature.I can work under pressure to deliver success at domestic and international events and led Scotland's Para Lawn Bowls Team to the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games in 2018. I also previously managed Scottish Boccia, developing players to reach UK Sport World Class Programmes and ultimately European, World and Paralympic success. Currently I focus on high performance para sport and lead the Goalball UK high performance programme and prepare our teams to be successful at European, World and Paralympic level. Through this role I have gained an in depth knowledge of the UK high performance system and work collaboratively with system partners.
