Gary has over 40 years experience as an entrepreneur, major project initiator, forest and financial consultant and economic development leader. He has private and public sector management experience and has led large scale innovative venture capital projects. He has proven time and again how to take a concept and convert it into a successful operation. As well as continuing his effort to get strawboard going again, Gary has been involved with other advanced technology resource-based projects. In particular, he has been doing research and development to adapt a large scale wood-burning power plant to provide electricity, heating and cooling for a cloud computerized technology project in Eastern Ontario.Another exciting project Gary is developing is to assemble a huge quantity of waste wood (sawmill residue, sawdust, chips, planer shavings, forest residue, bark, non-merchantable tree stumps), all of which are now required to be taken out of the forest when logged for sawmills. No longer can this residue be left as a fire hazard or to leak chemicals into lakes and streams.Pellets are in demand as a replacement for high emissions coal in large-scale coal burning power plants in Europe, China and Japan, among other countries. The demand for these industrial pellets has gone from virtually nothing, in 2010, to 25 megatons in 2017, to a projected[1] 70 megatons by 2030, assuming there is that much wood available in the world.

Proposed power plant using wood residue as the feed stock. Wood residue is available in much of Canada and can produce power cheaper than wind or solar. More than that, it is steady and reliable - 24/7, year after year. Attach this to a cloud data storage unit and it becomes a combined environmental package that is beneficial to the economy and creates jobs in the plants and forests.
