Managed staff of up to 50 IT professionals under our company's outsourcing contract with Commonwealth Telephone Enterprise (C-TEC), a multi-service LEC in PA. My team provided full application development and support responsibilities for in-house developed and vendor software for the complete complement of Customer Care, Billing/Rating, Operational Support, and Financial Systems. Early career roles involved technical hands-on and leadership roles. Completed analysis, coding, testing, and documentation in an IBM mainframe COBOL II, MVS JCL, DB2, VSAM environment for C-TEC business units, as well as cellular telephone and service bureau clients. Designed and implemented a complex, automated system for assigning and maintaining inside plant switch equipment that replaced error-prone, manual paper records. Eventually promoted to manager role with team of 15 technicians. Also worked for over year as programming consultant for 2 service bureau clients.
