I’ve been associated with The Printing Charity since 2019 and have been working as a Relationship Manager for four years.I have a career history in the industry that spans over 40 plus years, starting in the Packaging sector of the print business with a three-year apprenticeship in Graphic Reproduction. This gave me an in-depth knowledge of the major print processes of Offset Lithography, Letterpress, Flexography, Rota Gravure, and on processes and embellishment such as foil blocking, embossing, die stamping, My knowledge took me into a technical role in the supply side of the Print business where this knowledge grew to incorporate xerography and inkjet, I had the opportunity to work for some great companies like Howson Algraphy, Dupont, and latterly Agfa where the technical support role morphed into that of 16 years in account management and that of sales. My time in the industry has seen the industry change from that of a craft to one of the appliances of science. The forging of standards has ensured quality and consistency, to that of printing by numbers.
