I perform an initial check during the first phase of construction and follow-up inspections throughout the construction project. When the project is finished, I do a final, comprehensive inspection and provide written or oral feedback related to the findings. I check the structural quality and general safety of buildings including the structural steel or reinforced-concrete structures. I check and report on a home’s structure and overall condition to evaluate the home’s condition. In addition to examining structural quality, I also examine all home systems and features, including roofing, exterior walls, attached garage or carport, foundation, interior, plumbing, electrical, and HVACR systems. I look for and report violations of building codes, including non-compliance of the building codes.

As a Building Inspector for Jim’s, I examined and reported on various parts and systems of a building to make sure the entire structure meets codes and ordinances, safety regulations and zoning laws. I determined whether a building was structurally sound and safe for its intended use. As a building inspector, i used tools to inspect buildings and maintained records. I performed general building inspections and specialise in areas such as pest inspection. I was responsible for reviewing a building's structural soundness and safety features. Most of the inspection work was done on a visual basis, but I used a variety of instruments to measure finer details. I kept records of building visits for follow up on findings.

As a Quality and Safety Auditor, I inspected the buildings to ensure they meet requirements. I planned quality control audits, and often participated in these audits, as well. Audits involved inspecting building appearance, to make sure they look as they should, or conducted inspections to ensure that they meet specifications and requirements. As a Quality Auditor, I always searched for any errors or inconsistencies. After the completion of inspection and audit, I made assessment to record the number of inconsistencies and discrepancies to record identified problem areas. As a Project Manager and Estimator. I was assigned to the project to ensure that all relevant goals were met. My role was the most important throughout the whole building process as I have the ultimate responsibility for all aspects of the build. Typically, I worked closely with Architects, engineers, contractors, suppliers, consultants and other key stakeholders. I was a part of the building process from the very beginning. Some of my tasks were going over plans and blueprints, making timetables for the project, determining material and labor costs, negotiating with and hiring subcontractors and workers, scheduling workers on site, gathering permits and making sure everything is up to code. My role as Estimator was to collect and analyse data to estimate the time, money, materials, and labor required to construct a building. Accurate estimate of the costs of construction projects was vital to the survival of business. I provided managers with the information they need to submit competitive contract bids or price houses appropriately. I used software to simulate the construction process and evaluated the effects of design choices. I prepared estimates for a building project. I also calculated the total cost of building or the cost of just one component, such as the foundation. I identified costs of elements such as raw materials and labour, and set a timeline/schedule for how long I expected the project to take.

My primary responsibility as a Site Assistant was to assist the Site Manager in the daily procedures of the project. I ensured that the work was done per instructions. I also coordinated with office and maintained accurate written records. Moreover, I assisted the project manager in determining the likely duration of the construction work and ways to fast track the project or to reduce cost. I worked out a job schedule for the site workers and subcontractors. I specified the deliverables expected from the project and its completion date. Then, followed it up to make sure that the schedule was followed and quality standard maintained. My tasks also included receiving complaints and resolving them, or seeking the advice of the project manager. I also conveyed information regarding change in project plan to the site workers and subcontractors. In addition, I was required to assist in the procurement of some materials. It was also my responsibility to ensure adherence of the safety and security standards during the performance of work.

In this position I was responsible for Producing labour and material schedules for ordering. Read and interpret plans and specifications.I assisted in managing subordinate staff, I also proactively looked for any issues that could impede progress and took responsibility for solving them. I oversaw the daily management of material ordering and coordination with the site supervisor and sign off on all variations and successful completion of projects. I enforced the contractor’s safety policies along with federal and state regulations. I also ensure power tools and equipment are used according to manufacturer's guidelines and industry regulations
