The Kite Factory (previously MC&C Media) is an independent media business with a heritage in measurement and a relentless focus on delivering continuous, profitable growth for brands.As CFO I led the finance and commercial teams, working closely with the board and key stakeholders alike to measure, align and drive agency performance.

Managing a team of up to 30 staff, led the transactional and accounting & reporting teams for the 3 media agencies - Havas Media, Arena Media and Forward Media (circa £450m of billings), ensuring the group's obligations to clients, media and other strategic partnerships were fully satisfied. Managed significant change, system implementations and integrated acquisitions.

As Finance Director at Arena Media, oversaw secondary earn-out post Havas acquisition, drove financial strategy, ran the back office and ensured the leadership team were able to make the right decisions quickly.

Reported to CFO/Board. Leadership of back-office (team of up to 35) incl credit, accounts receivable, accounts payable and all accounting and reporting matters.Achievements included change management, working capital improvement (lowered group DSO from 50 days to low 30s) and delivered significant cash and operational “bottom-line” benefits for the business through process automation, robust working capital management, accountability and performance monitoring.

Reported to European CFO. Delivered acquisition integration, strategic tax planning, entity restructuring and treasury rationalisation for pan European business division.

Reported to FD, leading team of 25+. Planned, led and executed finance inhousing solution (from Accenture) for UK & Ireland within critical (5 month) deadline including people, processes and system implementation (Oracle). Led UK due diligence response for Holding company US IPO. Managed all aspects of $600m Credit Agreement with syndicated bank structure

VC owned (prior to acquisition by Gala Group) Coral Group Plc. Reported to FC, managing team of up to 15. Completed inaugural UK Group accounts and Form 20-F; prepared short and long form reports for IPO; acquisition integration, accounting and compliance; led and implemented Finance department restructuring

Reported to Group FC, responsible for financials in the "glossy" annual report. Migrated group’s Reporting System to Hyperion Enterprise (designed, specified and delivered system) and delivered first Form 20-F for US SEC reporting.
