Gary Gurr is our Commercial Title and Escrow Manager/Underwriter. He has been in the title insurance industry in Utah for 30+ years, and employed with Stewart Title of Utah since March, 1993. Gary works directly with Stewart Title Guaranty Company Senior Underwriting in the review and approval process prior to issuing Owner/Lender Policies and Endorsements of complex high liability Commercial Real Estate and Development transactions. Gary’s background includes, Assistant Manager of the Title Plant, searching and examining titles and working directly with developers, legal counsel, buyers, sellers, agents, brokers, lenders, underwriter’s and others throughout the real estate transaction and closing process. Understanding the background of Utah titles and knowledge of Utah law is key to problem resolution and underwriting concerns where Gary is second to none. Gary is constantly working to stay in the forefront of changes in the industry. Successful in obtaining a United States Patent for a method of overlaying ortho-rectified aerial images with map information tied to a state plane coordinate system for real property using an AUTO CAD program. Most recently with the development of Renewable Energy Projects for wind and solar, Gary is a knowledgeable resource, with the understanding of underwriting requirements, has worked with some of the largest renewable energy developers through the successful completion of many projects in Utah.
