Developed the specification for the GigE transport for VOD, which is MPEG-2 compression algorithm that is delivered as IPTV to the set top box. FiOS uses 1550 wavelength for broadcast video, 1490 wavelength for data and narrowcast video (VOD), and 1310 for reverse to the VHO. Developed and wrote the standards for edge modulation using BigBand systems at the central office. This system allows the optic RF signal to be able to meet CNR carrier to noise standards for optical RF up to 42km. The system will also allow for switch digital video.
