Gary started his career as a Junior Graphic Designer for a prominent Cornish design agency from work experience at the age of 14 where he rode a 20 mile round trip from school/college before joining full time at 18 as Studio Manager. His skills were more about computers and networking and management than actual design though and he moved on to found and run a small Apple Authorised dealership and service centre. From there his passion for the internet began when the internet was in its infancy in the late 1990’s. His 20+ years in the internet and telecoms industry has seen him be part of a Tech Trade mission to New York with the UK Department for Trade and Industry, been on the advisory board for alternative superfast broadband solutions with the Department for Digital, Culture, Media & Sport - as well as serve on the business advisory board for the much acclaimed Superfast Cornwall fibre rollout program. He’s led his teams right from the core to a string of awards on both sides of the atlantic including Best ISP to Best Web Host and, more recently, a nomination for Internet Executive of the Year in 2018 and 2019 at the Internet Service Providers Awards. In 2014 he raised funding for a £1 million online service which took on the likes of Apple themselves no less - launched on their doorstep in San Francisco and which continues to enjoy great success and growth. Today he enjoys helping businesses and startups achieve their online potential through design, marketing and realisation whilst managing teams that help facilitate all thing internet through market-leading and highly innovative products and services.
