I serve a diverse group of regional, national, and international clients in a variety of sectors, ranging from manufacturers to service providers. Clients have told me they consider me a trusted business advisor with an in-depth understanding of their day-to-day operations as well as their longer-term strategies.My goal is to connect with clients to develop long-term relationships, gaining an understanding of the goals, objectives, and challenges of both management and in-house counsel. This focus—on the client’s specific needs—allows me to address those needs in disparate areas of law. When appropriate, I draw upon McGlinchey Stafford’s full-service capabilities to connect clients with additional firm lawyers who have directly relevant experience, whether related to tax disputes, intellectual property, commercial disputes, due diligence projects, or other areas. Products Liability Products liability is the core of my practice, with a special emphasis upon the representation of global automobile manufacturers in matters across the United States, some of whom I serve as national and regional counsel. Over the last 25 years, I have handled products liability cases for auto manufacturers, and have also gained experience in matters relating to the defense of heavy equipment, forklifts, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, elevators, escalators, smoke detectors, and other consumer products. My experience includes single-plaintiff matters and class actions.In addition to my work on behalf of clients, I have published articles addressing the interaction between the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure and the European Privacy Laws, and have provided counsel to European clients relating to these issues, and I am frequently called on to lecture in the U.S. and abroad on matters related to products liability and European privacy laws.
