I was one of the founders of this statewide law firm in Montana, which has offices in Missoula, Bozeman, Helena, and Billings. The Firm is rated "av" by Martindale-Hubbell. During my tenure there, I was selected four times as a Mountain States Super Lawyer. After retiring in 2015, I've been persuaded to return to practice, mostly in a role in which I work in insurance coverage matters.

Cleveland/Akron, Ohio Area

I was a founding partner of this litigation law firm in Cleveland, Ohio, where I was a trial lawyer. During my 30+ year tenure there, the Firm was "av" rated by Martindale-Hubbell and was on their listing of "Pre-Eminent Law Firms". My litigation work included insurance coverage matters, toxic torts, insurance bad faith, construction litigation, products liability (including pharmaceutical, medical devices, and automotive), business litigation and general insurance and self-insured defense. For many years, I was chief trial counsel for several companies involved in thousands of lawsuits arising out of asbestos exposure, and also served as regional defense counsel in products liability cases for a Fortune 500 manufacturer of automotive parts. I achieved an “av” rating by Martindale Hubbell, which is the highest rating available for legal ability and ethics under their peer review system. I was also selected six times as one of Ohio’s Super Lawyers.

I served in the U.S. Army, starting in June 1971, first as an officer on active duty, and later on a part-time basis with a Mobilization Designation.
