About Gary Hillman

As President of S-Cubed (Service Support Specialties, Inc.), I lead a team that's committed to providing the best quality manufacturing equipment to our clients in the semiconductor industry. My ultimate goal is to design, build, and service our tools so that each customer feels that “the best decision we ever made was to buy our semiconductor process tools from the people at S-Cubed.”As the holder of 35 US patents (with several more pending), I'm proud to lead a team that is on the forefront of innovation in the semiconductor industry. Achievements include many industry firsts, such as: the first commercially available wafer scrubber, the first hot plate bake for photolithographic processing, and the first movable dispenser for photoresist. I've also been proud to serve as Chairman of SEMI Standards from 1986-87, as Chairman of SEMI in 1989, as a Member of the Semitech Founding Committee in 1989, and as a Member of Semi Semitech BOD in 1990.After almost 65 years in the industry, I believe integrity and honesty are at the heart of a good business, and how I strive to lead at S-Cubed.     In 1994 Mr. Hillman, with others, formed Service Support Specialties, Inc. and Creative Design Corporation. The former to supply process equipment, spare parts and services to the Semiconductor Industry and the later to provide new equipment design capabilities for the Semiconductor Equipment Industry. Work on robotics for the handling of reticles and wafers was sponsored by a very large California based semiconductor Equipment Company, which provided the basis for the company’s expertise in Mechatronics and Robotics. Other activities include the development of advanced semiconductor wafer and reticle handling robots under contract with a major semiconductor equipment manufacturer. Development and introduction of a double sided substrate cleaning system for wafers, reticles or specialty material substrates. Most Recently S-Cubed (Service Support Specialties, Inc.) has developed a series of tools based on its “MetaFormtm” for the HVM production of Semiconductor and Semiconductor like products for WLCSP, Fan Out processing, Bumping, and protective film processing of Polyimide, PBO and BCB in addition to FEOL photolithographic processing. S-Cubed has also developed and has in high volume manufacturing numerous Wafer Edge Exposure (WEE) systems installed around the world.
