The greatest honor is to serve. This is something that I have learned from my journey thus far. In my opinion, the greatest leaders and managers have the following attributes: Respect for duty, understanding the importance of selfless-service, respect for people, humility, discipline, knowledge, wisdom, honor, and integrity. This list is not comprehensive, but all are required to reach the level of servant leadership. The path is long and demanding, but worth the pursuit. One day, if I am worthy, I hope to reach this level. I have a passion for managing projects, people, hardware, platforms, and information. Therefore, I have chosen Management for my discipline. This spawns from my experience in the Military.In the US Army Infantry, I quickly discovered the type of leader and manager that I wanted to be and what I did not want to be, both are equally important. Also, having the ability to learn from other people’s accomplishments and failures is a critical skill, I believe that I have mastered this. I love working with people, and this is only one of many passions that I have.My other passions include technology, business process management, enterprise systems, US Defense, and learning.
