Senior role as part of the HP Account Management Team delivering this IT Business Process Outsourcing and Applications Development Contract.Directly accountable for the management and delivery of Business Services across the Contract. These functions cover PMO services, Information Assurance & Security, Financial Management & Billing, Performance Measurement, Service Request Management, Corporate reporting, Facilities Management, Quality & Assurance, Risk & Control Management and Business Support. I am directly responsible for the activities and performance of 65 staff, across three sites, generating revenue in excess of $7M per year.Key Achievements:o 100% achievement of commercial SLAs during the transitional arrangements and uncertainty caused by the takeover of EDS by HP.o Seamless transition of Business Operations from the legacy contract to a new contract through contingency planning, pre-transition assessment and regular checkpoint meetings.o Exceeded 2009 financial revenue (>£50M) and operating profit (>£14M) targets in an uncertain economic climate.o Tasked with re-structuring of the Account Business Management organisation and associated operating processes, resulting in a 10% reduction in resource cost.o Achieved continued Sarbanes Oxley compliance across Account operations.o Agreed commercial waiver for a large number of contractual measures of performance reducing the potential risk for service level fines and cutting the operational cost of SLA reporting within that area of the business by >50%.o Introduced tools and processes and the associated cultural change to support Enterprise Architecture planning to drive long-term strategic planning across the client’s business.o Selection as an example of best practice and as an academic case study by Cranfield University as part of their Programme Management research into PMOs.

Client Governance and Corporate Management lead within the successful core pursuit team for this >$150M three year IT Outsourcing Contract. Responsible for developing the Account Management and Business Services aspects of the HP solution including commercial definition, cost modelling, proposal completion, third party contract negotiation and finally presentation to the Client.Key Achievements:o Negotiated the inclusion of additional Information Assurance activity into the scope of the contract (additional revenue ~£500K per annum)o Increased the margin for Business Operations within the bid model through proposed process improvement and automation initiatives (by 7% across the life of the contract).o Client feedback identified that our Business Operations bid responses gave them “High-Confidence” in HP’s ability to deliver. o Selected by the Account Executive to be named as the Account Business Manager in the proposal to the Client. One of only four named individuals that made up the HP Account Management Team to take the Account forward into live operation and deemed to give the Client confidence in HP’s ability to deliver.

Programme Manager responsible for all aspects of Client Billing across EDS’ >$4.5billion Infrastructure roll-out and IT Service Management Contract. This role spanned from initial contract award through process definition, recruitment, training, billing application development, tool implementation and Sarbanes Oxley compliance. Ultimately this activity led to a steady-state position managing both the client relationship and the monthly billing process. Key Achievements:o Successful programme delivery within budget to enable EDS to claim their first month’s revenue in August 2005.o Achieved full Sarbanes Oxley compliance at External Audit, twelve months ahead of senior management expectation based on previous experience gained by our sister account in the US.o Robust tooling and well defined, documented processes supported the collection of over £500M in revenue during my 2.5 years in the role with a total of <£100K of debt exceeding the 30 day payment terms across the period.o Requested to return to the Account in 2008 in a troubleshooting capacity to review processes following changes in operating practices had introduced operational issues.o Liaison with commercial consortium partners to meet client specific billing requirements and timescales, including negotiations to secure additional non-contractual revenue generation.
