I am a conscientious, driven individual with over 36 years’ experience within the timber frame & roof truss industries. In this time I have worked my way up professionally from fabricating roof trusses to company director. Having experienced each level of the business, I have gained extensive knowledge and an almost unrivalled insight into the workings of the timber industry, which has allowed me to manage processes and people effectively, whilst maximising sales and profits.As a naturally confident but personable individual with a positive approach to life, I have worked hard to build relationships with people. These relationships have facilitated effective communication, and put me in a strong position when negotiating deals with third parties. Additionally, I have developed robust people management and leadership skills, and enjoy being part of a productive and successful team. I am a naturally well organised individual, and work methodically and efficiently, prioritising workloads as necessary to complete projects within budget and to deadline, but without compromising on quality standards. Furthermore, when things don’t quite go to plan I have found myself able to tackle issues with a calm and logical approach, indeed thriving in these challenging work environments.I proactively look for ways to be more efficient, whether that be in relation to time, processes or money. I have demonstrated an ability to drive change in all of these areas and improved the business both strategically and operationally as a result.I view both personal and professional development as an essential part of life, and as such I have shown commitment to developing new skills through training courses, learning from others, and sharing my experience and knowledge.
