Advocating for and deliver programs to corporations that builds a culture and capability of gender equality and increasing the representation of women in leadership and influencer roles in business and the broader community.6. Undertaking any research necessary to further any of the objects specified above.My passion for supporting and leading this national organisation has come from my many positive experiences on Boards and leadership teams where there has been a good gender mix and conversely many awful experiences where Boards are made up of stale, male 'entitled' types. During this short term contract I achieved significant outcomes for the Douglas Shire including Australia's first Eco-Destination Certification for the region that supports the unique environment where two World Heritage Listed Areas, the Daintree Rainforest meets the Great Barrier Reef. This role also oversaw significant outcomes in community development, events, arts and culture, economic development, media and communications and grants.

As a result of a Council restructure I was given the opportunity to lead the integration of Planning, Environmental Health, Local Laws, Economic Development and Community Services into a new Department of Development, Environment and Community. This created a significant capability of enabling Council to enable communities to grow and thrive.
