About Gary Kibort

A customer and operations-focused Executive Director with expertise in delivering financial and operational stability and success for small to mid-size businesses, non-profit organizations, and family-owned companies. As the Executive Director for Herzl Camp, I am responsible for running the $4M organization that includes: overseeing operations, administration, fundraising, employee recruitment and retention, board development, strategic planning, financial over-site, community relations, marketing/communication, facilities, construction projects, security, health and safety for 1000 people annually. I lead our year-round and summer staff with a focus on putting campers and families first. A renown camp, we exceed the highest quality and safety standards. As a Herzl alum and camper parent, I continue to ensure a customer-centric perspective to our camp’s management. As a leader, I focus on financial stability, I generated 4X annual revenue increase and eliminated long term debt through focusing on both revenue and expense which is key to sustainability. With an eye towards growth and relationship building, I stewarded the process to receive the largest donation in the 75-year history of the organization to improve the facilities and provide future program opportunity. Future-focused, as an operations leader, I successfully managed an $8M new construction project from design to maintenance to modernize and expand on 70 buildings on the 100-year-old 150-acre campsite. I began my career in my family’s national wholesale and property management businesses where I learned the value of treating employees, co-workers, vendors, and customers with respect and dignity. Through experience in operations, purchasing, and sales management I learned the importance of leveraging technology in scaling and growing the company. As an entrepreneur and General Manager for RADs, an industrial x-ray manufacturing company, I created the business, sales, financial and growth strategy providing products to 3M, Medtronic, Guidant, healthcare, defense, aerospace, and government sectors.Previously, as the Operations leader and business manager for a multi-location retailer, I drove business growth through vendor relationships, including negotiating contracts and developing the pricing strategy for three locations. In addition, I was responsible for cash flow and HR.Known as a trustworthy, hardworking, and dedicated executive with a commitment to accountability and transparency. A strong decision-maker who quickly adapts to changing work and client needs.
