I am co-founder, broadcaster and Business Development Manager of Ashdown Radio. Launched in April 2022 after we rebranded from Uckfield FM which had been on air since July 2010. We are a full time radio station serving Crowborough, Uckfield and the surrounding villages. Broadcasting from studios at Bird in Eye Farm on the edge of Uckfield, the station broadcasts a variety of programmes to suit all ages groups.Ashdown Radio is a not for profit voluntary organisation. We have a team of volunteers and as a community radio station we have to be funded by more than just advertising and sponsorship. We apply for local and national grants and run other fundraising events in order to keep the service on air. My role as BDM, is to support the business community with commercial advertising and sponsorship opportunities. Because the station is only serving the Crowborough & Uckfield area, the rates to advertise are very affordable compared to advertising other media.
