East Midlands

I am a member of the Panel of Neighbourhood Planning Examiners established by NPIERS (Neighbourhood Planning Independent Examiners Referral Service) which is managed by RICS; DCLG and RTPI and have established a network of professionals helping to support Parish Councils and Neighbourhood Forums in developing Neighbourhood Plans.Yourlocal is working with four Parish Councils in developing Neighbourhood Plans - Warsop Parish Council, Ellistown and Battleflat Parish Council, North Kilworth Parish Council and East Langton Parish Council and is advising groups in relation to Community Rights and funding opportunities such as 'Our Place'.

Nationwide

Neighbourhood Plans need to be independently examined prior to being submitted to referendum. As an Independent Examiner with NPIERS I am one of a number of Independent Examiners qualified to fulfil this task.

East Midlands

Langham House Consultancy is a consultancy offering housing related services including housing management; project management; development; change management and options appraisals.Recent commissions include working with developers Keepmoat and Strata on an 800 home mixed-use scheme in Mansfield. The consultancy is currently engaged by Leicester City Council to bring a grade ll listed building back into use. Cross Corners is now a thriving and vibrant Community Arts facility which is home to 6 professional artists and a whole host of community groups.

Chesterfield

I am a Member of the Care and Support Board within East Midlands Housing Group covering Enable Care and Support Ltd and the care and support functions of former subsidiaries of the East Midlands Housing Group primarily within Foundation. The role came into being following the collapse of the structure in early 2013.

Leicester

I am responsible along with other School Governors for leading the strategic elements of the school which has been classified as 'Good' by a recent Ofsted Inspection.

Mellor Community Primary School is a vibrant inner city school with over 500 pupils - significantly larger than other schools nationally. The overwhelming majority of pupils are from minority ethnic heritages and many children start school speaking little or no English.

Long Eaton

Board Member of stock transfer association that joined the East Midlands Housing Group in 2011. Three Valleys Housing has now become part of the collapsed structure of East Midlands Housing and is no longer a subsidiary within a Group Structure.

Meden Valley Making Places was a hugely successful and award winning housing regeneration Company which transformed many former mining communities within north Notts and north Derbyshire prior to its planned closure at the end of December 2011 on completion of its work programme.

This role involved project managing regeneration projects such as the Braunstone 6 Streets and submitting bids for new work - successful bids including Stonebridge Park in Nottingham and Meden Valley Making Places. I was also responsible for a Regional Housing Management office during this period.

As Special Services Manager with Leicester Housing Association I was responsible for the Association's residential care homes for adults with learning disabilities and mental health problems,its supported housing team and 24 hour emergency Control Centre.
