Section Leader for the ANASOC Communications Staff section training team. Used expertise in Communications, Leadership, and planning to advise and assist the ANASOC G6 Staff section in all things involving Communications, from DIV level to Battalion. Supervisor for a 5-man team covering all sub-sections of the G6 staff; advised US Forces on matters concerning training, equipping, and doctrinal development of the ANASOC units.

Serves as a Network Support technician to the Secure Network (SECNET) used on nuclear submarines during refit/repair. Duties include Cisco router and switch configuration/upkeep, SOP generation, network security compliance, and asset management.

Combined leadership, technology and training skills to serve as the IT/Telecommunications expert of a multi-disciplinary training team to provide training, mentoring and support for a newly-formed unit of the Afghan National Army Special Operations Command. Taught Afghan soldiers how to perform telecommunications tasks that are critical to their goals and safety. Instructed soldiers on the installation, programming, maintenance and upkeep of IT systems, automation, network architecture, Cisco routers, switches and related equipment. Trained officers in operational procedures, strategic planning and decision making, leadership development, estimating and forecasting communications needs, helpdesk development, and radio encryption procedures. Designed and built several wired and wireless LANs and oversaw the on-site telecommunications/connectivity needs of the Raytheon team. Notable Contributions:  Trained over 370 officers and soldiers on telecommunications systems (theory, installation, operation, and maintenance).  Planned, designed, resourced, installed, and manage 4 internet systems with 170+ network devices in a remote location without additional support.  Developed a 12 month collective task training schedule for 30 staff officers.  Created training scenarios based on actual mission requirements and review outcomes.

Served as the IT/Telecommunications subject matter expert while leading an 8-person multi-disciplinary American team that mentored and trained officers and soldiers for the Afghan National Army Special Operations Command. Provided team management, planning, training, supervision, team and individual evaluation, and administrative duties for the Engility team. Trained Afghan soldiers on the Military Decision Making Process/Troop Leading Procedures (MDMP/TLP). Mentored Afghan officers in the planning, resourcing, maintenance and management of all technology/ telecommunications assets. Instructed Afghan soldiers in the installation, operation, maintenance, and management of internet systems and networking and in all areas of telecommunications. Served as the primary IT representative for Engility training teams, including the installation, operation, and daily maintenance of two LANs and the setup, maintenance, and management of 160 computer systems and network devices.Notable Contributions: Planned, designed, resourced, installed, maintained, and managed 3 WLANs for over 200 network devices with all Cisco products. Provided computer and internet help desk support to the entire contract for over 90 employees. Planned, organized, executed, and monitored 6 Afghan staff training events for over 200 staff officers. Managed the training calendars for 12 trainers in support of an Afghan Division headquarters staff.
