Recruited as the first Project Manager of the newly formed electronic Division of CAE InvertronResponsible for the generation of a database modelling capability and to act as European Sub-Contract and project Manager supporting military projects including: Merlin Helicopter Simulator Programme, Lynx MK8, MIG and MSHATF (Medium Support Helicopter Aircrew Training Facility) Project. MSHATF was the first PFI (private finance initiative) programme to be awarded by the MoD and was a training facility to be provided for the next 20 years.

The Company was a leading supplier of flight simulators and associated training devices to civil airlines, the UK Ministry of Defence, and to other governments throughout the world.I held a number of positions in the manufacturing/engineering departments, and later in R&D/programme management.As a Senior Development Controller I was responsible for all R&D tasks, including budgets, bills of material and schedules. In this role I was directly accountable to the engineering Director. I was promoted to Project Manager responsible for new business, project planning, specification conformity, cost management, risk analysis, customer liaison and site management. I had international business experience in Europe, India, USA and Japan.
