This process involved close consultation and information sharing with all partner agencies, namely, the Probation Service, HM Prison Service, Social Services (adult/ children and young people services), Health Trusts and local authority (Housing).MAPPA were informed of any emerging issues, changes in circumstances surrounding risk. All enquiries relating to the DP/RSO's risk assessment were updated on their nominal file (ViSOR) and reviewed every 16 weeks. Ongoing risks both dynamic and static were evaluated to recommend the frequency of visits. Worked directly with the bereaved family and close liaison with the SIO/SIM (Senior Identification Manager) to ensure the family were treated appropriately, professionally and with respect for their personal needs. Used exceptional interpersonal skills to adapt to a range of every changing and demanding situations, in often stressful conditions over sustained periods of time. Working at the highest degree of professionalism/ integrity and carrying out the duties with the utmost sensitivity. Key to the role of both FLO/FLC were communication and listening skills, confidence and self-assurance, the ability to manage stress, work with minimal supervision, being flexible, non-judgemental and accurately record information.Worked directly with families who had suffered losses from sudden death, murder, terrorism, natural disaster, industrial accidents and health and safety investigations.
