Implement the CGG HSE Management System at the work site, leading by example. Encourage active HSE involvement of the seismic and marine crew with their daily work behavior and reporting. Ensure site specific procedures are subject to regular JSA review by onboard line management. Ensure company standard operating procedures are followed at the work site, and that management of change is implemented appropriately.• Responsible for operational risk management at the work site; identification and mitigation of project and work site risks in close cooperation with the Vessel Segment Manager (inherent standard operational risks), VM (project risks), and vessel captain (marine operational risks).

o Navigator / QC / Assistant QHSE Rep.o Navigator - The central role of the position of the Navigator is recording quality navigation data, the operation of ALL navigation acquisition systems, sub-systems, and the technical training and mentoring of Trainee Navigators onboard the assigned vessel.o QC - The central role of the position of the Nav Analyst is the assurance and verification of positioning data quality and to ensure that processed navigation data fulfilling client quality specifications is produced in a timely manner and is prepared for shipment from the vessel.o QHSES Assistant - Help the onboard QHSES Representative organise, monitor and record all safety aspects onboard the vessel such as Drills, Safety Meetings and outstanding vessel action points that needed addressing. Record Safety meeting minutes enter into the company’s “VIMS” system. Follow-up incident reports and the ordering of safety equipment for the vessel.

o Responsible for operation and maintenance of Maxiran equipment onboard Geco vessels worldwide. o Involved in the operation and maintenance of third party navigation equipment on Pipe Laying, Anchor Laying and ROV vessels.

o Responsible for maintaining Shoran equipment for use in seismic surveying and rig positioning. o Shore supervisor coordinating shore stations for seismic surveys and rig positioning.
