Technical Manager, Falkirk Town Hall Theatre. I manage a team of technicians across 3 venues and oversee the technical and production of over 100 productions per year. From intimate solo performances to large scale touring productions. As technical manager I regularly chair production meetings, take the lead on supplier negotiations and report to senior management on issues and forward planning.I produce, update and maintain technical risk assessments and safe systems of work, identifying knowledge gaps and organise training for staff. I liaise with visiting companies, producers, suppliers and local authority licencing to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all performers and production staff. I have led the modernisation and £150k capital expenditure of the stage and technical areas at FTH Theatre. Carrying out a prioritisation exercise, and identifying areas most in need of modernisation, highlighting the positive financial and theatrical benefit.
