Responsible for a team of six, including four Field Performance Specialists (FPS), an analyst, and an administrative assistant. Coordinated FPS support of System Protection Training program and with various teams across Dominion’s service area. Involved in numerous initiatives including System Protection training curriculum accreditation, evaluation of IEC 61850, rollout of “Intro to IEC 61850” for System Protection organization, Human Performance for Contractors refresher training and various other projects.

Provided instruction and mentorship to new technicians, evaluated work methods and techniques, reviewed, updated and developed content for System Protection training program. Lead instructor for multiple classes in this curriculum.

Completed numerous complex substation construction/expansion projects. Responsible for proper installation, testing, and commissioning of transmission and distribution protection schemes, SCADA systems, and communications systems.

Responsible for proper operation, maintenance, and repair of various shipboard radar, navigation, and communications systems. Completed two overseas deployments and earned qualification as Surface Warfare Officer, Tactical Action Officer, and Officer of the Deck. Responsible for teams of up to 80 people.

Served thirteen years as an enlisted Electronics Technician, achieving the rank of Chief Petty Officer. Assignments included electronics instructor, cryptography and communications technician in Japan, and radar/communications/navigation technician aboard a fleet oiler and a destroyer. Completed four overseas deployments including Operation Desert Storm (Red Sea). Responsible for teams of up to 25 people.
