I am passionate about the game of golf generally, but specifically how by participating in the game & through the engagement of coaching enhances people beyond the sport. As an educator of the game it has become interesting to synthesise my knowledge of golf with pedagogy & ways of learning. Having knowledge of something does not automatically mean its transfer to another during the coaching process. It is vital the coach understands deeper pedagogical methods for learning if they are to be effective in their quest to improve others. What coaching approach best suits the individual? What skills do I need in order to get the best from them? When will they know they have improved? What information is most relevant at this time? Some vital considerations & not obviously answered. Vast research exists in the field of coaching/sports coaching generally however little research exists in golf specific field regarding golf coaching.
