Under the direction of the Chief Information Officer, responsibilities include ensuring the agency statewide information technology environment operates efficiently, managing onsite operations and system maintenance for the agency IT platform, maintaining performance within required system parameters while helping to reduce downtime, increase resiliency and protect system security and data integrity. Implement resources to transition and support a remote workforce including setup for the statewide organization while maintaining end user efficiencies. Direct agency system hardware and software upgrades. Provide technical support, troubleshooting services and regular help desk reports. Maintain inventory of IT assets; minimize loss and assure reasonable allocation of spare equipment. Maintain system configurations documentation and end-user information for all technology resources. Administer and manage local servers, LANs, WAN connections, incident response and user administration. Provide application support for products such as Office 365 and administer data backups. Participate in the development of the annual technology budget; assist in monitoring expenses. Collaborate in the negotiation and management of vendor and service provider contracts, resources and support. Support the enforcement of policies and practices regarding customer support, data governance and IT infrastructure. Support the development and maintenance of the emergency preparedness plan for critical systems. Perform ongoing information risk assessments, audits, and other information security tasks. Participate in information security awareness and training initiatives to educate team members about the importance of information and risk management. Recruit, supervise and support team members and foster their professional development. Establish annual team goals and objectives; track and report results. Coach, support and evaluate team member performance.
