Programme Manager for Essex County Council’s Highways and Infrastructure Capital Programme, which aims to promote economic growth in the County.• Managed a team from the County Council and partner organisations in developing and submitting three Housing Infrastructure Fund (HIF) bids totalling £410m.• Led the commissioning process of bringing two of the HIF programmes into contract including dealing with all required governance. • Managing the development of Beaulieu Park, a new railway station in North East Chelmsford. Work includes liaison with Councillors, MP’s, Network Rail, Greater Anglia and Department for Transport. • Transportation lead for ECC on the M25 J28 and Lower Thames Crossing projects. Both Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects (NSIP). Role in the Council’s A12 team responding to the Development Consent Order process. • Transportation programme lead for the Local Growth Fund programme run in conjunction with the South East Local Economic Partnership (SELEP)• Provide business direction to Project Managers (internal & external) delivering the Highways and Transportation Capital Programme.• Working to deliver political and service priorities from annual plans ensuring that all risks are actively managed.• Have built up collaborative relationships with external organisations that can support delivery of ECC priorities and developed a joined understanding of likely longer-term developments.• Worked collaboratively to ensure highway based major road projects include substantial improvements to sustainable transport connectivity for pedestrians, cyclists and bus-based passenger transport.
