My role is the focal point for the management of the Town Centre, delivering the Borough’s agreed vision and taking responsibility for the development, implementation and operation of key initiatives and regeneration & renewal programmes. My role is responsible for the creation and ongoing development creating of the Strategic Events Programme for the Borough.My role is responsible for the support of our visitor economy businesses throughout the Borough.

Manage relationships with key town centre and tourism partners and stakeholders serving as an effective two way conduit between the private sector, public sector, third sector and the Council.Work with new and existing key retail & leisure operators to investigate and identify strategic marketing and events options to increase visitor numbers /spend and improve the profile of the town centre & Borough.Manage a number of large events and festivals throughout the town centre / Borough.Work with private event organisers to plan, deliver & promote a number of high profile events and festivals including Haydock Park, St Helens Rugby League and Steve Prescott Foundation.Responsible for income generation of the town centre including commercial bookings and key event sponsorship programmes.Responsible for budget planning including various external funding programmes.Manage and implement effective market research projects to evaluate impact assessments against strict economic targets.Co-ordinate and maximise the input of Council departments to town activities including environmental works & improvements.Manage the on-going development of web and social media.
