Managing the day to day operations of the European branch of Sportsnation ZA

Managing brand partnerships with sponsors, ensuring that commercial commitments are fulfilled and those partnerships deliver best value for the client, properties and audiences.

Having played rugby in South Africa, joining a rugby club in France made sense as a launch pad to fully immerse myself in the French culture and begin making new connections. This is a way of experiencing the sports scene in Nantes, and hopefully give great insight into the role of Sponsorship.

My role was developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders involved in South African rugby. Priorities included implementing contractual rights on behalf of Absa, provide insight into how best to leverage existing contractual rights. Use the Currie Cup rugby tournament as an effective communication mechanism for Absa.
