Started in the CS&U (Commissioning and start-up) team for the oil recovery plant.Progressed to the maintenance team: Commissioning, troubleshooting, and performing PM’s plus critiquing the procedures for the field instrumentation and analyzers for both the SAGD and main plant.Have been moved to build bill of materials for instrumentation on the Husky Sunrise site within the SAP system.

• Presently, working as a Senior Craft Team Member (Instrumentation) with in the Upgrader Instrumentation team. Have worked on the following committees: Rules and Regulations (Safe Work Practices), Shell Employee Committee (SEC), & Unproven Single Isolations Committee.• Worked as the Lead in the Analyzers, and Custody Metering teams during running maintenance.• Worked the Scotford Refinery shutdowns, and assisted Refinery with various call outs.• Have assisted Shell Chemical’s with various call outs.• Worked as the lead in: Hydrogen Manufacturing Unit, Sulphur Recovery Unit, Cogeneration, Water Treatment, & Tank Farm during start up and commissioning phases.• Held a lead position for the Residue Hydro Conversion unit during its major shutdown.• Ed Badach and I were responsible for setting up the Custody Metering program, for the field instrumentation throughout the Upgrader’s base plant.• Held the position of MMFP (Maintenance Measurement Focal Point) until the position was absorbed within the technical group.• Located and corrected multi million dollar Custody metering issues through out the Upgrader.• Actively involved to resolve issues with: passing isolation valves, removal of the shelters in place, & unit alarms horn and visual problems.• Actively assist Electrical team with technical issues, developed the Electrical Heat Tracing cross reference spreadsheets and zone cross references.

•Duties included the preventative and on going maintenance of a methanol plant; which included working in the following disciplines: Instrumentation, Analyzers, Custody Metering, Reliability, and Electrical Maintenance.•My employment at Methanex ended when the plant was shut down.

• Work duties involved: Supervisory, Instrumentation, Custody Metering, Reliability and Analyzer disciplines. • My duties included the preventative and on going maintenance for: three heavy gas oil plants, two light gas oil plants, and the diesel plant as well as the associated compressor, and pump stations, local and remote tank gauging system, plus various online Analyzers, and Custody meters.• Was the acting Supervisor for one and a half years for the Oil Movement and Storage area’s Instrument and Electrical crew while the team transitioned to a self directed team.• Proposed & implemented several Instrument and Equipment Reliability programs. • Performed the duties of the team’s Planner and Instrument Apprentice trainer prior to performing the Supervisor’s role.• Worked a three month temporary assignment in the power house where my duties were to train a first year apprentice on the workings of various boiler feed pumps, air compressors, sweet gas compressor, gas and steam turbine operations and instrumentation.• For three years, I worked as a Shift Instrument Technician. My duties were to perform ongoing and preventative maintenance through out the Upgrader on all Instrumentation, Custody Metering, & Analyzers. Plus act as first response to maintenance emergencies through out Syncrude’s complete site.• I was assigned to work on the Capacity Addition Program where I was responsible for the installation and commissioning of the Instrumentation & Analyzers for two hydrogen plants (Hydrogen Generation and Hydro-Treater).

• Worked as a Shift Instrument Technician.• Responsible for ongoing and preventative maintenance of all Instrumentation, & Analyzers pertaining to the Upgrader. Plus act as first response to maintenance emergencies through out Suncor’s Base Plant.

• Worked as an Instrument and Controls Commissioning Technician in the Electrical and Controls Department. • Responsible for final field calibrations and checkouts on the electrical and instrument equipment pertaining to the units: reactor, turbine, & tritium removal facility, also for viability of engineering data and coordination of trade’s personnel. • I was also the company’s representative while working with a contract crew of eighty-five electricians during the construction phase.

•While at Suncor I worked as a Shift Instrumentation Technician / Electrical Apprentice. • Responsible for ongoing and preventative maintenance of all Instrumentation, & Analyzers pertaining to: three coke fired boilers, six gas fired boilers, two turbines, and the water treatment plant. Plus act as first response to maintenance emergencies through out Suncor’s Power Plant. Assisted shift Electrician as part of the dual trade apprentice program.

• Worked as an Instrument Technician and was responsible for the ongoing and preventative maintenance of three oil fired boilers, three turbines, package boiler, and the water treatment plant.
