Responsible for obtaining customer data from garage, service station and repair shop operations, many of whom have little or no experience with computers. Walk customers through file location, application download and setup and data uploads. Develop batch files to copy, zip and upload data files to our ftp server. Monitor uploads of data, troubleshoot data issues, etc.Constantly updated my Windows experience as new versions were released. Created all training documents for approximately 60 Shop Management Programs, and created the SOP’s for the Technical Department.Assigned incoming work to 3 technicians including myself using Heat contact database, for new customer setups, maintaining current customers as their computer systems changed, and pulled data from potential customers, so the sales staff could provide an actual real-time demo. Maintained call logs and assignment logs, and monitored the productivity of the department.Started when CustomerLink was only 2 years old and helped to grow the company to approximately 98 employees. CustomerLink was recently purchased by Intuit and is currently being merged with a similar service company, (DemandForce) and laid off the entire company.

Installed additional servers, routers, firewalls, workstations, etc. Introduced MS Access Databases for tracking of products and services, saved $40K within the first 3 months.

Duties included responsibility for the entire IT department which included a small WAN using a Point-to-point T1, 2 servers and 28 workstations. I added an Email Server running MS Exchange and a Web Server used to provide an FTP site for customer downloads. I wrote technical manuals and instructions, created demo videos, marketing brochures, etc. Built dual processor servers for RGB Video Walls. Lead technical person in charge of connecting computer hardware to video walls, testing of new hardware interface. Technical staff of 4 performed a variety of duties including telephone support and repairs. Introduced MS Access Database used to track technical support calls and repairs.

Worked to grow the company, becoming the Production Supervisor and then Manager within the first 2 years. As part of the management team, I helped to grow the company, providing all production processes and procedures, quality requirements and training. Directly involved in company policy development, and standard operating procedures.
