About Gary Mccann

I'm a stage and costume designer working principally in the field of international opera, and also in musicals, theatre performances, installation art, and event design. My creative work is known for combining historical components with modern aesthetics in an innovative manner.Since graduating in the 1990s my work has taken me all over the globe, working with many of the world's most prestigious companies.My designs been seen by audiences at major opera houses such as the Vienna State Opera, Santa Fe Opera, the Fenice in Venice, Norwegian National Opera, I have also worked with commercial producers on Broadway and in the West End, as well as the UK's National Theatre. I've also collaborated several times with the National Trust, creating art installations in historic properties which have been seen by hundreds of thousands of people.
