Led & delivered a low-cost refit proposition into the business which transformed over 70 stores which deliver an in year saving of £3.5m with an average sales uplift of 6%.Developed levels of competence in building regulations, health and safety, stakeholder management and capital control.Coached and developed talent in the team which enabled managers to successfully go on to bigger roles.Effectively pulled together and managed cross-functional work teams which included developing strategic relationships internal and external contractors and consultants.Introduced nine mobile shops into the business which are used during refit closures to support local communities especially in rural areas. Accountable for the delivery of space and customer proposition on a store by store basis in line with the format blueprints, macro space and segmentation models.Transformed over 170 stores in London & South East with a capital spend of £32m which resulted in 20% LFL sales uplift which outperformed the business for 23 periods.Successfully worked cross functionally to integrate over 770 United Co-operative store into The Group over a four year time frame, which including re-branding (internal & external), H&S compliance reflecting the latest blueprint within a budget of £148m. Effectively worked together with a cross party team to trial and integrate over 100 Somerfield stores into the North West. Programme value worth in excess of £22m.In 2008 was part of the team that delivered the biggest investment programme in Europe with over 700 stores being refitted with an average sales uplift of 5.2% LFL.Changed the culture and developed a highly capable team with the right skills and attitude, managed non-performance in order to improve productivity.
