Designing and manufacturing small automated benchtop equipment such as the Biorad Proteomics Spot Cutter, and the Bioprep5 wine grape analysis machine. Originally joining as the Chief technology Officer, and managing a small team of mechanical, electrical and software engineers. I was eventually promoted to General Manager.

Ellex Laser Systems (formerly Laserex) is a leading designer and manufacturer of ophthalmic laser systems. I was resonsible for all areas of engineering, including production development, QA, and R & D. Ellex was the worlds first producer of a 532nm slab laser for use in ophthalmic surgery.

Responsible for the overall design of the Non-Man Entry "Rotaloc" remote underground pipe relining machinery. This included remote control hydraulics, video an electronics control systems.

Lead mechanical designer for the Australian Acoustic Generator, a state of the art, mine sweeping acoustic generator. My work on this in 3D CAD won Australasian AutoCAD User of the year in 1995.
