I co-founded AKTV8 in 2014 with a mission to transform vehicle mobility through intelligent, integrated controls for all vehicle markets. Leveraging my experience as an entrepreneur with more than two decades of in the automotive industry, I have guided the company through start-up and profitability, multiple rounds of financing and strategic partnerships to position AKTV8 as a leader in next-generation technology in the automotive, heavy truck and RV markets.I love learning about new businesses and business models. I'm thankful for the many opportunities to serve in high performing organizations that helped shape my passion and skills. A key area of business that excites me is developing the strategy and translating into executable plans across all disciplines. I played a key role in several startups before launching AKTV8. Startups are amazing feats that defy the odds. AKTV8 was formed in November 2014 to capitalize on the growing $2B market for electronically adjustable suspension to improve ride comfort, handling, and safety in all vehicle markets: starting with aftermarket, followed by commercial truck/bus and eventually OEM automotive. Aktv8 has two customers funding product development and has been awarded a $5MM production contract starting 2016. Recent contact with other customers is generating multiple quote opportunities globally. Aktv8 will be cash flow positive in 2017 with projected revenues exceeding $45MM in 5 years and 25 new jobs created. Aktv8’s technologies offer configurable “made-easy” solutions for customers frustrated by the available complex “hobby-grade” systems and the lack of affordable customizable solutions. Our patent pending electronic air suspension controller, iAir, combines sensors, controls, and air manifold into an “all-in-one” module that offers significantly more value to vehicle manufacturers. Our second complimentary product, a patented semi-active damper, offers three adjustable damper configurations from one low-cost technology. Both products are assembled via contract manufacture in Michigan. -
