Responsible for the information assurance operations and computer network defense for a variety of telecommunications, IT, and network security analysis and management activities. Supports test planning and execution by providing network integration and information security plans for testing services. Provides technical interface and expertise in command information systems security requirements leveled against the commands testing requirements. Served as Project Manager and Senior Technical Expert responsible for Local/Wide Area networks, configuration management, and systems monitoring in the Republic of Korea US Army AREA II.Managed and coordinated development of Local/Wide Area networking standards, and worked with functional managers to evaluate the impact of proposed standards and procedures on the accomplishment of goals and objectives.Responsible for implementing security procedures, software and controls for AREA II LAN/WAN and works with Cyber Security Office to ensure security procedures for network operations are developed and implemented.Responsible for on-going analysis of all data communications equipment and network systems to ensure that max capability is being achieved at minimum cost and researches/recommends changes if necessary.Researched, designed, and managed the implementation of AREAII 802.1X Wired security protocol, as well as lead liaison with 311th for Korea wide implementation.Developed and enhanced automated systems to monitor connection times, idle times, traffic volumes on AREA II Local Area Network.
