I currently work as a consultant to the banking industry. I retired from the FDIC after 33+ of service. My examination experience includes the review of activities at community banks, regional banks and complex financial institutions. As a retired commissioned bank examiner, I have extensive experience in a wide range of areas including the following:• Examiner In Charge – Examiner-In-Charge of various problem, problem financial institutions primarily in community banks.• Wholesale loan review – Participated/lead reviews of numerous complex loan portfolios at community, large and SIFI banks.• Shared National Credits – Five years’ experience as a syndicated lending specialist at various locations.• Comprehensive Capital Allocation Review (CCAR) / Dodd Frank Act Stress Tests (DFAST) – Four years’ experience reviewing CCAR/DFAST submissions relative to wholesale lending. • Dodd Frank Act Title 1/IDI Resolution Planning (Living Wills) – Five years’ experience reviewing resolution plans at both SIFI and large banks.• Model risk management & enterprise risk management – Participated in reviews at both large and SIFI banks.• Mortgage Banking – Participated and in-charge of reviews at community, large and SIFI institutions.• Information Technology – Several years’ experience preforming IT reviews primarily at community banks.• BSA/AML– Several years’ experience preforming BSA/AML reviews primarily at community banks.• Trust– Several years’ experience preforming trust examinations primarily at community banks.
